bharatfirm.com and books.bharatfirm.com are run by BharatFirm ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@bharatfirm.com. By using either site you agree to these terms. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your details.

General information, not advice

The compliance calendar, compliance guide, updates, examples, the BharatFirm Books learn centre and the compliance rules in the Books demo give general information about Indian law as we understood it on the date shown. They are not legal, tax or accounting advice for your situation, and reading them does not make you our client.

Laws, rates, forms and due dates change, and governments often extend deadlines. Check the current official notification, or ask us or your own adviser, before you act.

Not a government website

BharatFirm is a private business. We are not part of, or endorsed by, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the Income Tax Department, CBIC, GSTN, the Reserve Bank of India, EPFO, ESIC or any other government body. You can file most returns yourself on the official portals.

Government fees, stamp duty, taxes, penalties and interest are not part of our fees. You pay them at actuals.

Our services, fees and timelines

• Prices on bharatfirm.com are our standard fees, plus 18% GST. A quote binds us only when we confirm the scope and fee in writing, and the engagement letter you sign governs the work we do for you.
• We file on time when we receive complete documents, approvals and payments in time. Government processing, portal outages and queries from authorities are outside our control, so the timelines on our sites are typical, not guaranteed.
• Work the law reserves for practising professionals, such as statutory audit, tax audit and certificates, is carried out and signed by independent practising Chartered Accountants or Company Secretaries in their own name.
• A free compliance check is general guidance about what may apply to you. It does not create an engagement.
• Example companies, people and figures on our sites show how things typically work. They are not client records.

BharatFirm Books

• BharatFirm Books is in early access. Features marked "at launch", "next" or "later" describe our plans. They may change, and we don't promise dates.
• Prices on books.bharatfirm.com are draft prices and may change before launch. The six-months-free offer and the free move from your current software are for companies that join early access before launch; we confirm their terms in writing before you start, and we may change or end the offer before then.
• The live product will be covered by subscription terms we share before you sign up. These terms cover the websites and the demo.
• The portal demo runs on a made-up sample company. Its names, GSTINs, invoices, IRNs, acknowledgement numbers and figures are invented for illustration, and any resemblance to a real business or person is unintended. The demo doesn't connect to the GST portal, the e-invoice or e-way bill systems, banks or any other system; nothing in it is filed or sent anywhere. It saves your changes only in your own browser.
• The compliance rules in Books are researched from official and secondary sources, and each one shows how firmly it is confirmed. Treat them as a checklist to confirm with your CA, not as a complete or certain list of what applies to you.
• The learn centre is free general information. Its progress and completion records are for your own use and are not a qualification.

Our sites link to government portals and other websites we don't control, and we aren't responsible for their content or availability.

Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, Excel, WhatsApp, Google, Outlook, UPI and the other product names we mention belong to their owners. We mention them only to describe alternatives or compatibility; we aren't affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Using our content

You may read, print and share our pages for your own use or your company's, and search engines and AI assistants may index and quote them. Don't republish them as your own. The content and design of these sites, and the BharatFirm and BharatFirm Books names and logos, belong to us.

Our responsibility

We take care to keep our sites accurate and available, but we provide them as they are, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the general information on our sites, or from the sites being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or what we owe you under a signed engagement letter.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If we change them, we will update this page and the date at the top.
